Hey ya’ll!
Ok, it’s officially “The Joe Quinn Band”! I know, not very creative, but recognizable.
Our new family consists of:
Joe Quinn- guitars, vocals
Mary Murphy- guitar, vocals
Steve Schamle- keyboards
John Kelley- cello, vocals
Jennifer Pool- violin
Martin Cline- percussionist extrordinaire!
PRAISE JESUS! This group is awesome! We’re playing all of my previous music, and adding many new songs that I’ve recently written as well. Mary is also a wonderful songwriter, and we’ll be adding some of her songs too!
Our first “official” gig all together will be the upcoming Nehemiah Fest in Smithville, Sept. 19-21. We’ll be playing on Friday, Sept. 19th at 4:00pm on the Spirit Stage!
PLEASE COME OUT AND SEE US, and all the other gifted artists who are giving of their time and talents to the second year of this awesome festival!
WE’LL SEE YA THERE! God Bless you all!

WOW!! I’m SOOOO sorry I haven’t been here in a while! Things are REALLY hectic! But no worries… it’s ALL good!
I’m working with Cross Eyed Records, not just as an artist, but on staff too, doing marketing and graphic design work! I also got a new “day job” doing IT work for Comcast. It’s great because I can still work from home!
Epyphonae is in the “reorganizing” stage now, and I’m auditioning new members, which is really fun and exciting! I’m missing Becky very much, but her life and God have taken her in a different direction, so it’s all good. Steve and John are sticking with me, and we’ve added a bass player. Still working on a drummer and new girl singer who can hopefully play guitar and/or keyboards. The new band will NOT be called “Epyphonae”, but will be doing some awesome stuff! We haven’t decided on a name yet, but will probably be just “Joe Quinn” or “The Joe Quinn Band”, or something boring like that! HA! My new music is much more rock/blues oriented, but still with the “celtic” flair!
We will be debuting at Nehemiah Fest 2008! Please come out and see us, and many other AWESOME artists as well, while coming together as the Body of Christ that we are!! Not to mention the fact that you’ll just have a GREAT time!!!

Much more SOON!! I promise!!
I love you all, God Bless!

Joe Quinn and Epyphonae are Blessed and Honored at KCCM Awards!
 |
(Kansas City) Epyphonae (pronounced “epiphany”) was honored as the Inspirational Artist of the Year at the 8th annual KCCM Awards on April 26th. They also performed their song, “When I Call Your Name”, during the live awards show and ceremony.
The 8th annual King Cat Christian Music Awards were held on April 26th at the Bell Cultural Arts Center in Olathe, Kansas. The Bell Center is part of the Mid American Nazarene University, and is a beautiful new state-of-the-art facility that was perfect for this event. The auditorium was packed with artists and music industry professionals from across the country and beyond.
The show’s hosts were J. Brian Hill and Vicky Vaughan, who both received awards for their music as well. J. Brian Hill for Best Male Vocalist of the Year, and Vicky Vaughan for Best Christmas Artist of the Year. Other recipients included 9th Hour, Sharmane, Beth Champion Mason, His Refuge, and Chrisopher Ames, among many more!
“We were thrilled to be asked to perform at this event, and to be nominated for an award”, states Quinn, “but to actually win the award in the company of so many gifted artists completely floored us! It was definitely a wonderful shock, and such a blessing to know that our ministry is reaching people in a positive way. God has been so good to all of us, and we always try to share His message with others. This award means a lot to us, not as recognition of us, but as recognition of the love and hope of Jesus Christ that we pray is delivered through our music and through our ministry.”
Joe Quinn was recently signed to a contract with Cross Eyed Records, and was one of three Cross Eyed artists to be recognized for their gifts. Andrea Beemer received the award for Best Worship Artist of the Year, and Jason Watson received the award for Best Live Performance of the Year. Jason and Andrea also performed the pre-show worship music.
King Cat Christian Music is nationally recognized for it’s dedication to the Christian music community as a whole, and these prestigious awards are just one way that King Cat supports the arts and Christian music. This event was filled with some awesome performances and a true feeling of unity, spirit, and worship. You can learn more about King Cat at www.kingcatmusic.com.

“If I never had any problems, then how would I know if God could fix them?”
I heard this a couple of weeks ago, and I just had to smile! How true!!
People often ask me if God answers all prayers, and I always respond with a resounding YES!
And I don’t use the old “sometimes the answer is no” line either, because I don’t believe that.
God does indeed answer all prayers, but the answers come in HIS time and not ours, so although the answer may not be “no”, it just may not be what HE thinks is the best time for it.
Patience, faith, and trust are essential to spiritual well being!
As always, His timing is perfect! Our faithfulness and trust in Him will always be the best path to follow!
Just a thought!
In His Service,
+Joe
P.S.- Thank you to all for visiting the new site, I hope more of you will leave a note in the guestbook!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cross Eyed Records signs Joe Quinn to Exclusive Contract
(Blue Springs, Mo.) Independent Christian record label Cross Eyed Records, in conjunction with Infinity Productions, has signed Joe Quinn, from the band Epyphonae, to an exclusive recording contract. This move is indicative of Cross Eyed’s desire to give up-and-coming artists the opportunity to share their God given gifts and ministries with a wider, and more diverse audience.
The Cross Eyed Records line-up currently includes such talented performers as Jason Watson and Andrea Beemer, and is sure to be a well heard voice in the future of independent Christian music.
Joe Quinn will be recording his new solo material, but the CD will also include all members from the group, Epyphonae (pronounced “epiphany”), who perform regularly throughout the Mid-West and Kansas City areas, as well as being one of the core artists of the Earthen Vessels Tour (www.earthenvesselstour.com). The CD will also include performances from some special friends like Dave Panico, “The Soaring Saxman”, and very gifted guitarist Phil Ost, from the group “Daddy’s Milieu” (www.daddysmilieu.com).
“Cross Eyed Records is pleased to have reached an agreement with Joe Quinn. We have worked with Joe on several different projects and have always appreciated the way that he has approached his art as well as the depth of his ministry. We are excited about working with Joe and Epyphonae, and from the sounds of the new music that they’ve written, you will be just as thrilled as we are! Plans are underway to have an all new Joe Quinn CD out sometime in 2008, and releasing a single (plus 2 bonus tracks) in conjunction with the 2008 Earthen Vessels Tour.”
